Anthurium REO-NOS051 (('Red Magnificum' x BVEP) x ('Ace of Purps' x 'Word Salad')) - 2" Pot

I am so happy to introduce our first-ever Anthurium hybrid! The mother parent is phenomenal with its dark red-purple emergent, persistence of color even after hardening off, and wonderful, round leaves. The pollen parent (Anth. (('Red Magnificum' x BVEP))) has large, full leaves and a clean, simple venation. Many of these should have large, round leaves with intense coloration, both in the mature and new leaves.

The first and second leaf picture show the parents while the remaining pictures show some examples of the seedlings for sale.

We sell Anthurium seedlings a little bit differently... We randomly select trays to keep before we can see any prominent features that would lead to selecting "hold backs." Everything else goes up for sale, and once plants have been put into the sales sections, they stay there until they're sold. What does that mean? Even if a plant in the sales section ends up displaying extraordinary features, we will still keep it there for someone else to purchase and cherish. Part of the fun of hybridizing and growing plants is to play the genetic gamble, and this is our way of allowing others to play, too!
